Hoppy Birthday, Hadley!

The time has come for us to celebrate sweet Hadley's 2nd birthday!  Her actual birthday was a few weeks ago, but because my parents wanted to be here for the party and they couldn't come until the end of the month, we decided to wait.  Aside from the joy of having her grandparents here to celebrate, it's always nice to have them help in the party preparation.  Thanks for all of the help, Mom and Dad!  We couldn't have done it so smoothly without you!

I decided on a "bunny" theme for this party.  Hadley's bedroom decor is bunnies and she has a couple stuffed bunnies that she loves.  Not only that, I started planning for this party after Blair's was over in February and took advantage of Easter decorations after they clearanced out.  I didn't want the decor to scream "Easter" though, so I chose just rabbits, not eggs or chicks or anything else.  I think it turned out really well.

The weather was pretty great- a dryish 80 degrees and sunny which made me very happy because having 30 people in my living room stresses me out and the nice weather allowed us to keep everything, for the most part, outside.  I think everyone had a good time and people hung around for an hour longer than planned.  Miss Hadley was so wound up from all her friends and birthday treats that she didn't fall asleep until 11 pm!  Definitely a 2 year old success!

I was able to take a few pictures, but will add more whenever my mom sends them to me.  It's hard to be a good hostess and take pictures at the same time.  Here are the few that I did get.  Enjoy!

The Cake Table

Mini Carrot Cakes for the kiddos and Round Carrot Cake for the adults

The Party Favors: Rabbit Whiskers and Noses, Annie's Bunny " Carrots" and Lindt Chocolate Carrots all to be placed in the little take-home bags

The bucket and the porcelain rabbit were from Target

The Food: "Shriveled Carrots" (Cheetos), Fruit Salad, Spring Salad, Veggies and Hummus.  We also had hamburgers but they were grilling at the time of the photo.

"Carrot Juice"

Fun paper straws from Hobby Lobby

"Happy Birthday" to the birthday girl

Taking it all in

Blowing out her two candles

Make a wish!
